Biography

Listening to the wants and needs of my sellers and buyers is of the utmost importance to me.  Sellers know their house and neighborhood, what works and what doesn't, what's appealing and what isn't.  Likewise, buyers know what's important to them.  My job (as I see it) isn't to tell them what they like or need.  Rather, my job is to listen.  I'll ask questions to be sure that I have accurate answers and to establish priorities.  What's important to the seller (for example timing, ease of sale, price, etc.) or buyer (schools, walkability, lot size, year built, square footage, etc.) needs to be established and understood first and foremost.  Then it's time for the real estate expertise to kick in!

Honesty, Integrity, Service:  This is my mantra.

Area of expertise: I was raised in Dunthorpe, attended Wilson High School, catered (for 16 years) in the West Hills and Lake Oswego, and live in Hillsdale.  While I grew up in Southwest Portland, I'm very familiar with neighborhoods all across the city and its suburbs.  Each pocket has its own feel, and it's important to have an understanding of these areas. I love all of Portland's unique locations!

Born and raised in Portland, I have roots going back to the Oregon Trail and T. T. Geer - the governor of Oregon during the turn of the century (1899)!

History: My parents' love of Portland is in my blood. Their involvement in, and giving back to, our community was part of my life and I do my best to replicate their example. I am deeply involved in our public school system and currently co-chair the Wilson Foundation. I've volunteered in classrooms, chaired school Foundations, worked at auctions, even worked for city-wide campaigns in support of our public school system. Do you have questions about Portland schools? Ask me!

Family: My husband and I are blessed with two wonderful boys - one at Wilson High School and one at Oregon State University. As a family, we are involved in many different sports...football, basketball, sailing, track. We love the outdoors and good food. And we have a fluffy dog named Junior who we're all crazy about!

Interests: FAMILY, schools, challenges, watching my boys do anything, travel, cooking, pottery, glass, art, outdoors, gardening, reading, success, volleyball, making people happy.
